November 2, 2011. (Romereports.com) The pope talked about the topic of holiness, during the Angelus on All Saints Day. He described holiness as a living connection between God and love.
Benedict XVI“This wonderful feast, along with tomorrow’s commemoration of the faithful departed, speaks to us of the beauty of our faith and of the joy that awaits us in heaven with our loved ones who have fallen asleep in Christ.”All saints are an example to Christians, said the pope. Especially, since they show people how to follow Christ. Each one of them, in their own unique way.
Benedict XVI“Today we venerate this vast community of all the saints, who through their different lifestyles, show us different ways of holiness, united by a common denominator: to follow Christ and be one with Him. Having this be the final objective of our lives.”Benedict XVI explained that death is a union with God. The pope then talked about the importance of visiting the cemetery, to connect with loved one's who have passed away. Above all, he said prayer is key, because through prayer, people remember that there is life after death.
