September 13, 2011. (Romereports.com) (-ONLY VIDEO-) The cleaning and maintenance of St Peter's Square has extended to the front of the Vatican's Apostolic Palace, the official residence of the Pope.
During Benedict XVI's stay at Castel Gandolfo, the Vatican's groundskeepers are working on the facade of the Apostolic Palace, exactly where the pope's window is located. The exterior appears to be in need of work after an accumulation of rainwater during the winter.
The cleanup began yesterday and will end tomorrow. Afterward they will work on the backside of the palace.
