August 21, 2009. Vatican doctors have removed the cast on Benedict XVI’s right arm at a small clinic in CastelGandolfo, where he’s been spending his summer vacation.
The pope underwent a medical check-up which included an X-ray that showed his arm had healed well. In the coming days he will begin therapy sessions to complete the rehabilitation process.
Benedict XVI fell last month while on vacation in northern Italy fracturing his wrist, and undergoing surgery shortly after.
