YoutubeJuly 12, 2010. While on vacation, the pope kept his appointment on Sunday and prayed the Angelus with hundreds of pilgrims in Castel Gandolfo.

From the patio window of the papal residence, he gave thanks for this time of rest and thanked town's citizens for hosting him.

Furthermore Benedict XVI recalled that Christians should help others with “sincere and generous love” and that this is the only way to worship God.

The pope asked to love everyone without measure. He said this universal rule should be a requirement within the Church so that no one will suffer.

Benedict XVI
The rule Christians follow, as learned from the teaching of Jesus, is that of the heart which sees where there is need of love and acts accordingly.”

The pope also spoke of St. Benedict of Norcia, patron of his pontificate, considered the father and legislator of Western monasticism.
