January 2, 2013 (Romereports.com) (-VIDEO ONLY-) On the night of December 31, the Pope boarded his Popemobile for his last 'visit' of the year to the Vatican's Nativity display at St. Peter's Square.
On site, he prayer alongside the creator of the Nativity set, modelled after the city of Matera (Italy), the same region where the “Passion of the Christ” was filmed.
Benedict XVI greeted the leaders of the region of Basilicata, who financed the Nativity set. He also
thanked the band director of the Swiss Guard for living up the visit.
