May 2, 2012. (Romereports.com) Each month the Pope prays for a specific intention and he calls on all Catholics to pray along with him. For the month of May, Benedict XVI has called on people to pray so that “initiatives which defend and uphold
the role of the family may be promoted within society.”
In addition, he's also calling on Catholics to pray to Mary. So that the “Queen of the World and Star of Evangelization, may accompany all missionaries in proclaiming her Son Jesus.”
In past months, Benedict XVI has prayed so that women's contribution to society is recognized. Also, for vocations to religious life, for victims of natural disasters and for persecuted Christians.
