Definitive text of the pope’s second volume of his best selling book ‘Jesus of Nazareth’ was recently given to publishers but it will take months to publish it.
Those publishers are the Germany-based Manuel Herder and the Holy See's own, Vatican Publishing House.
The original manuscript is written in the pope’s native German.
Now the Vatican Publishing House is negotiating with other publishers worldwide to publish it in other languages.
Benedict XVI’s first volume ‘Jesus of Nazareth’ was published in 2007.
The second volume starts where the first volume finished and will be dedicated to Jesus’ childhood, the passion and resurrection.
The pope says he does not intend to write another book.
