May 6, 2010. One of the five bishops who investigated the Legion of Christ, Monsignor Ricardo Watty, bishop of Tepic, Mexico, says there maybe be a visit between some of Marcial Maciel’s abuse victims and the pope. Maciel was the founder of the Legionaries of Christ.



Benedict XVI appointed Monsignor Watty and four other bishops, to investigate the Legion. They met with more than one thousand members of the Legion, along with bishops of where the Order is present and a number of people from the Regnum Christi as part of the investigation.
