March 15, 2012. (Romereports.com) There's already an application or
'app' for Mass and even confession. Now, there's a Smartphone app to pray the Rosary. It's called
“The Rosary of the Hours” and it's being sold on I-Tunes for $1. It includes readings from the Bible and even a few texts read by different Popes.
For those who need a friendly reminder, the application also has alerts,
that remind users of when it's time to pray the Rosary. Users are also
invited to pray each mystery, while sharing one's prayer intention on
Facebook and Twitter.
The word Rosary, comes from the Latin word
rosarium, which means rose
garden. According to tradition, in the year 1208, the beaded rosary came
about to help illiterate people pray. Now with technology, anyone with
an Smartphone can add this latest app to their list.
