June 15, 2012. (Romereports.com) (-ONLY VIDEO-) Benedict XVI met with Mr. Nassir Abdulaziz Al-Nasser, the
President of the United Nation's General Assembly. He took the position in 2011 to serve as the president of the organization's 66th session.
There was also an exchanging of gifts. Benedict XVI gave the president a lithograph with a Vatican seal and Mr. Al-Nasser gave him an engraved tray with the word 'peace' written in every language. It was a symbolic gift because the UN president has placed the 'mediation for peaceful settlement of disputes' as his main duty.
The president was also accompanied by his wife, son, and an entourage from the UN.
