YoutubeOctober 3, 2012. (Romereports.com) His name is Marcello Di Finizio. An Italian businessman who decided to stage a protest on the dome of St. Peter's Basilica.

He hung a sign on the dome, that criticized Italy's prime minister and his government. Even though the writing on the sign wasn't really visible to onlookers, he talked to reporters about his cause.

“They have taken everything from me. My home, my business. Twenty years of work- and now what am I supposed to do?”

On Tuesday afternoon, Di Finizio walked into the Vatican as a tourist, and then climbed down the dome. He spent the night there and on Wednesday he remained there during the general audience. He says he won't come down until the Italian government meets with owners of natural spas, which is his line of work.
