YoutubeMarch 12, 2013. (Romereports.com) During the first three days of the conclave, the Catholic Church celebrates three saints from Lombardy, which could benefit the cardinal from Milan. Although, a few other saints will also be honored, from Germany, France, China and an Italian Pope.

March 12 is the feast day of Saint Innocent I, elected Pope in the year 410. Known for his authority and decision, he's the reason behind Saint Augustine's phrase, “Roma locuta, causa finita,” when Rome has spoken, the cause is finished.

Other saints for this day include Saint Maximilian of Tebeste, martyr from the 3rd Century and born in Algeria; British Saint Elpidius or Chinese Saint José Zhang Dapeng, a married man from the 19th Century.

There is also the feast day of Sicilian Luigi Orione, a saint from the 20th Century with a great social following.

The second day of the conclave is the feast day for Cristina, who lived in Persia in the 6th Century and was killed for defending her faith

Saint Ansovinus from Lombardy that refused to become bishop until it was guaranteed he would not be drafted by the imperial army in 840.

It's also the feast days for saints in Egypt, Spain and France. Saint Pientius lived in France in the 6th Century and opened many monasteries in Aquitaine.

Saint Ramiro was a Spanish Benedictine monk who died defending the monastery of Saint Clodius of Leon from the Suebi in the 7th Century.

The martyr Saint Sabinus from Egypt lived in the 6th Century. He was thrown into a river for being Christian.

Thursday, March 14 is the feast day for German Saints Matilda and Pauline, from Fulda. Also, for Saint Alexander of Pydna in Macedonia, Italian Saint Lazarus from Milan and French Saint Leobinus of Chartres.

They will be the patron saints this week for the entire Church, and it could be that their nationality will inspire the cardinals in the conclave.
