YoutubeSeptember 4, 2012. (Romereports.com) Tito de Luca is an Italian adventurer with a unique mission. He is determined to find out once and for all whether this ancient mountain holds one of the most fascinating objects in history: he's trying to find Noah's Ark.

This is Armenia, near Mount Ararat. According to the Bible, it's here that Noah's Ark landed once the flood subsided.

“I'm convinced that there are remains of the Ark here, including key remnants of the ark that I've actually managed to photograph.”

This climber shares his adventures in a book that for now, is in Italian and English. The book itself took about 20 years to finish. It includes photographs of elaborate wooden beams he found at an altitude of more than 1300 feet. He firmly believes these items were once part of the Ark.

“Parts of Noah's Ark have survived because the temperature here is very cold and under ice. Part of the wood we've studied had a layer of natural tar, which according to the Bible, is exactly what Noah and his family used while building the Ark.”

Several studies claim that these pieces of wood are about 5,000 years old. In his book, he explains how Kurdish pastors know the area quite well, including where remains of the Ark can be found. He even says that during hot summers, one can see large slabs of wood scattered about. In fact, his testimonies have been used to reconstruct how Noah's Ark may have looked.

“It was just a big box with a single window and an opening in the roof. It was divided into three floors that were each 16 feet high. These are the measurements the Bible gives: 492 feet long, 85 feet wide, 49 feet high, which turns out to three floors, each one being 16 feet high.”

He also notes that the book of Genesis explains that Noah and his family were mocked as they built the Ark. But they didn't care and they continued to build.

Even today many believe it's impossible to find traces of the Ark. Others think it never existed to begin with. But many adventurers continue their search, just in case....To monitor Tito de Luca's search,  just visit his website noahsark.it
