April 7, 2010. Benedict XVI returned from Castel Gandolfo for a few hours to receive more than 21,000 pilgrims in St. Peter’s Square.
The pope explained how the Church celebrates the mystery of the Resurrection.
Benedict XVI
“The resurrection is the greatest of God’s mighty acts in history; mysterious beyond all imagining, it is also a real event attested by trustworthy witnesses who in turn became messengers of this Good News before the world.”
The Pope assured the testimony of the Resurrection has been passed with courage from one person to another and calls on people to continue spreading this message.
Benedicto XVI
“Each of us, as a disciple of Christ, is called to testify to the reality and power of the new life bestowed by the Risen Lord upon those who believe.”
Since Easter, Benedict XVI has been resting in Castel Gandolfo and he only returns to Rome for official acts
