June 10, 2011. (Romereports.com) (-ONLY VIDEO-) These are the future papal nuncios. They are students of the Pontifical Ecclesiastical Academy, the Vatican school of diplomacy. Today they met with Benedict XVI, who told them that the fundamental virtues of the nuncios are “consistent and profound humanity,” because the papal representative is “first a priest and a bishop.”
He also reminded them that their work “requires the ability toward openness with others, fairness of trial, critical distance of personal opinions, sacrifice, patience, perseverance, and at times a firm dialogue with everyone.”
