May 1, 2011. (-ONLY VIDEO-) Hundreds of thousands of pilgrims are lining up  to pray for a few moments before the casket of John Paul II. According to the Vatican, St. Peter's basilica will remain open all night until the last pilgrim goes through.

John Paul II's remains are at the central altar of the basilica.  A book of the Holy Gospels has been placed atop the pope's casket.
