“God has blessed us. We have a very honest heart and we are here to pray.”

Along with their parishioner, they came to pray, dance and sing, as a way to express their devotion to their Catholic religion.  Holding hands, they danced and sung right in front of the Vatican.

In fact, some of the pilgrims in this group are over 80 years old.

“This is a special pilgrim group. We are all from Taiwan and we are Catholic.”

Only about 1.5 percent of Taiwan's population is Catholic, which is roughly about 300,000 people. The majority of the country is actually Buddhist.

But even though they're in the minority, this group decided to mark the occasion and their trip, by offering perhaps the simplest yet most powerful gifts- their prayers and songs.
