YoutubeJune 18, 2012. (Romereports.com) The Vatican's spokesperson, Father Federico Lombardi, is speaking out against the attacks of Christian churches in Nigeria. On Sunday, five churches were bombed in four cities.

Through a statement, he called the simultaneous attacks “unacceptable and horrible.” He also made a call to unite efforts to “eliminate terrorism in that country.”

The attacks happened in the northern state of Kaduna, where dozens of people were injured, but it's still unknown if any deaths followed. Although no one has claimed responsibility for the attacks, extremist group 'Boko Haram', has targeted those areas before.

In response to the incident, a 24 hour curfew was imposed in the state of Kaduna.
