the end of World Youth Day 2011 in Madrid, the Vatican has taken the
opportunity to launch the Spanish version of their news website
news.va.
The
news service was orginally launched by the pope in June. The Spanish
version now joins the English and Italian options on the website.
According
to the Vatican, Spanish is the mother tongue of 42 percent of the
Christian community throughout the world.
The
launch of the news site in June saw a large response with over
300,000 visits in the first 24 hours.
