“Many cases are getting away from the truth, and sometimes there is a lack of tone and dignity.”

The spokesperson recalled that during the audience with priests, the Pope criticized certain media coverage of the Second Vatican Council for misinterpreting its main ideas.

As a result, Lombardi asked the press to be more professional in their coverage.

“Let us make sure that we as the media, we cover the Sede Vacante and the conclave as close to reality as possible.”

The Vatican spokesperson explained that it is normal that each cardinal has their own vision of the needs of the Church. But he added that it was an exaggeration to label them internal divisions.
