For now, everything is set for the coming trial hearing of the Pope's butler, Paolo Gabriele. He faces a charge of 'aggravated robbery,' for his alleged involvement in the Vatileaks case. If found guilty, he could face up to
four years in prison.
Along with the Pope's butler,
Claudio Sciarpelletti, a former Vatican computer programer is accused of complicity. The trial hearing will start on Saturday September 29th at 9. 30 a.m. The tribunal includes
three Italian lay judges. The president of the tribunal is Giuseppe dalla Torre.
