YoutubeSeptember 23, 2012. (Romereports.com)  There are many ways to learn a foreign language. Some take classes, while others may choose to immerse themselves in a foreign culture. There's also the popular option of taking online courses from your home computer

A new video game is aiming to combine some of these methods on their computer game called The Spanish Language Route. It takes students along Spain's famous pilgrimage of the Way of St. James, also known as the Camino de Santiago.

Students can choose one of five different routes depending on their native language. The path will then take the student step by step, learning the Spanish language as well as seeing some of the historic sites along the Camino de Santiago.

The lessons also teach students about Spanish artists, literature, festivals, and local delicacies in cooking. The game is designed using 3D technology as well as Google Earth in order to get a better view of the route.

The game makes for a fun way to learn Spanish, as well as learn about the culture and history that follows the Route of St. James all the way to the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela.
