December 5, 2012. (Romereports.com)(-ONLY VIDEO-) The King of Spain, honored four Vatican officials who play a key role in organizing the Pope's international travel arrangements. Representing the king was Spain's ambassador to the Holy See, Eduardo Saenz de Gutierrez Buruaga, who personally gave the award known as 'The Order of Isabella the Catholic.'   

The honor was given to the commander of the Vatican's Gendarmerie, Domenico Giani as well as to the Vatican's Spokesman, Federico Lombardi. The Director of the Osservatore Romano, Giovanni Maria Vian was honored as well, along with Papal traveling coordinator,  Alberto Gasbarri.

The ceremony took place at Spain's Embassy to the Holy See.
