November 17, 2009. Ever wonder what the world’s largest, most comprehensive illustrated Bible is? The answer: The Brick Testament, one man’s labour of love to bring the word to life through LEGO building blocks.
Over the last eight years, Brenden Powell Smith has relied solely on LEGOs to bring 400 stories and 4,450 illustrations of the Bible to life. But it wasn’t easy: Smith spent thousands of dollars and countless hours constructing and photographing his vision all by himself.
The Brick Testament has also morphed into its own book set, as well, complete with printed works on The Ten Commandments, Book of Genesis and the Story of Christmas.
Whatever the medium, The Brick Testament is proof that with a little creativity--and a whole lot of LEGOs--any story can come to life.
