February 8, 2012. (Romereports.com) This is the logo of the World Youth Day to be held in  Río de Janeiro, Brazil, from July 23rd to the 28th in 2013.
 
It's a heart that at its center is the city's famous statue of Christ the Redeemer. The logo also has the four colors of the Brazilian flag: green, white, blue and yellow.


Accompanying the world's most famous statue of Christ, in the upper left hand corner of the logo is a small cross.

The excitement was palpable on the world's social networks, as a few hours before the logo was released, for a short period the hashtag #LogoJMJ became the most discussed topic on Twitter.

More than 200 artists from every continent submitted their design to the competition that was held in September of 2011 by the Archdiocese of Rio. Now the only thing that is missing is the official anthem for the event.
