April 24, 2012. (Romereports.com) In the weeks leading up to World Youth Day, there has traditionally been a celebration of 'Days in the Diocese'. This is when young people from around the world live for one week with locals from the country where the event is taking place. However, World Youth Day Rio will be making a small change.
The Brazilian organizers have created “Mission Week” that will be in all of the country's cities from July 17th to the 20th of 2013.
During those days, young people will help add to the festive atmosphere in the city that hosts them. They will take part in spiritual and cultural activities as part of the celebrations of World Youth Day in Brazil.
