Youth Day starts next August 16th
in Spain. For those who won't be able to make it, a few items are
already up for sale on the web. At Madrid 2011 official website, one
can find folding chairs, canteens and even cologne designed
specifically for the event. But by far, the official backpack is
the one item that's gotten the most attention.
In
fact, every person taking part in WYD will get that same backpack.
It's red, orange and has three pockets. For those who arrive in
Madrid, the backpack will have a city guide, a catechism, a crucifix
and a rosary.
On
the web, other type of products are for sale, like watches, shirts,
scarves, sunglasses and even a computer mouse.
For those on a tight budget, the least expensive items are rosaries
and bracelets, which run for 2 euros. The most expensive is a 25 euro
sweatshirt. But, with Madrid's intense summer heat, those probably
won't sell out soon.
