March 13, 2013. (Romereports.com) Just feet away from the Vatican, young people from all over the world
are praying 24 hours a day for the conclave and the new Pope. The Saint
Lawrence Center has its door wide open for all those want to pray for
the cardinals.

“And also to invite all the people that are passing by these days, to really invite them to pray together with us, in front of the Blessed Sacrament. At the same time we as young people, wanted to send the cardinals a message, to let them know we are with them in prayer.”
Even though younger students have classes during the day, they have taken turns so there is always someone in the chapel. Young people around Rome, have coordinated their efforts to take turns all day to ensure the church remains open at all times. Also, pilgrims may pray for the cardinals at any time, in this church.
The church contains part of the original cross John Paul II gave to the youth in 1984. Baskets with prayers and messages for the new Pope are at the foot of the cross, as the Catholic world waits for a new pontiff.
