Benedict XVI With Easter, Christ has removed the root of evil, but he needs ; the aid of men and women to help him assure, always and everywhere, the ; victory with his own weapons: the weapons of justice and truth, mercy, forgiveness and love.

The Pope also made an indirect mention to the situation of the Church in China when he greeted Christians that suffer persecution and encouraged them to dare respond to attacks by remaining faithful especially during the toughest of times.
