The queen of England invites the pope to the United Kingdom

This will be the first state visit by a pope to the U.K and will take place from September 16-19. During the pope’s visit, he will beatify Cardinal John Henry Newman at the Coventry airport. He will also visit the archbishop of Canterbury who’s the leader of the Anglican Church and head to the Palace of Westminster where he’ll meet with some of Great Britain’s civil authorities. The Catholic Bishops Conferences of the U.K have launched a website, www.thepapalvisit.org.uk where you can find all the details about the preparations of the pope’s upcoming visit. BR/MCPP
