Egyptian ambassador to Vatican reinstated after diplomatic conflict

In a speech given to the foreign diplomats of the Holy See, Benedict XVI asked the Egyptian government to do more in protecting the Christian minority of their country. In response, Egypt said these remarks were an ?unacceptable interference in its domestic affairs? and recalled the ambassador. Egypt?s foreign ministry has now decided to send their ambassador back to Rome after receiving ?positive messages? from Vatican officials. AE/CB HC -BN-
