Serious religious violations were found in China, Egypt, Iran, Saudi Arabia and Vietnam, according to the report. Pakistan is also a mounting concern. In its annual report, the U.S Commission on Religious Freedom recommended that Egypt be placed on a its offender list. If the Obama administration agrees, Egypt could be fined with economic sanctions, unless conditions are improved. The commission is also asking the U.S government to re-direct the funds it grants to Egypt?s military. Instead, they ask, part of that money be used to support organizations that help minority groups, like Christians.
