More Wikileaks cables on Vatican released

Many of the cables make note of different meetings held with the pope and certain remarks made by Benedict XVI as well as John Paul II. Such as this cable titled “Pope issues forceful environmental message for World Peace Day” from December 16, 2009.

Topics covered include Catholics in China, the situation of a persecuted priest in Vietnam, and the Holy Land. ;

Wikileaks first made headlines from massive unloading of State Department cables in November of 2010.

It?s still unclear what the repurcussions will be from this latest release. But Wikileaks has drawn much criticism by publishing government documents, which the State Department claims has made their work of diplomacy that much harder.
