Vatican releases new document on principles and criteria of theology

Its three chapters describe perfectly the content. The first is “Listening to the Word of God,” the second: “Abiding in the Communion of the Church” and the third “Giving an account of the Truth of God.”The International Theological Commission was created after Vatican II as a concrete way for theologians to continue assisting decisions of the pope. It works especially with the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith.For years, one of its members was the young German theologian Joseph Ratzinger.
