Stolen artifact from Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela recovered one year later

The electrician had worked at the cathedral for 25 years and has been arrested on suspicion of theft. In addition to the codex, police found other items belonging to the cathedral and more than one million euros in cash. The Codex Calixtinus is considered the first guide to popular pilgrimage route of the Way of St. James. Before it was stolen in July of 2011, it was located in the archives of the cathedral.
