Ten cultural events, ten cities, ten Commandments

SALVATORE MARTíNEZ President, Renovation of the Spirit "We propose that the New Evangelization is to apply creativity, new languages and methods. We are thinking of recuperating back something old and bring it back again. The old part are the commandments and the language is new.â? Many people from Italian culture will take part. The event itself will go around ten Italian cities, including Milan, Naples and Genoa. All of them will see a video message from Benedict XVI where he will greet the participants. The Pontifical Council for the New Evangelization says this celebration is a good response to a society that doesn't know the Christian faith, as well as it should. MSGR. JOSÉ OCTAVIO RUIZ ARENAS Secretary, Pontifical Council for the New Evangelization "We can not stay locked up in churches, in our homes or parishes in the Episcopal Palace. We have to go out into the streets, we have to look where the people are. Even we have to take advantage of all social media.â? This activity coincides with the countdown to the Year of Faith. The hope is that this project can be a type of meeting point between the Catholic Church and the modern world. OFL/AE MG GDP -BN
