Pope concerned about violent conflicts, refugees, in the Eastern Congo

BENEDICT XVI“These days, as high-level meetings take place at the United Nations, I feel particularly close to refugees, women and children, who because of continuous armed conflicts, suffer violence and deep anguish.”The Pope then recognized the good work done by those who are not part of the Church. He reflected on how Jesus told his apostles, they should never stop anyone from doing good deeds. BENEDICT XVI“Jesus taught his disciples that God can do good things, even wonders outside their environment. ; One can collaborate with the Kingdom of God in different ways, like offering a simple glass of water to a missionary.”Benedict XVI said that Christians should feel joy and not jealousy, when others do positive work to improve the world. He also called for the positive work of the Church and the different levels within it, to be recognized. OFL/KLH CTV-VM-BN
