Pope honors St. John Bosco, explains what different generations can learn from him

BENEDICT XVI

"This morning we celebrate the feast day of St. John Bosco, a priest and educator. I urge the youth to see him as an authentic teacher of life. To my ill brothers and sisters, I urge you to learn from his spirituality, so you many always trust in Christ. And you, dear newlyweds, seek his intercession, so you may fulfill your spousal role, with generosity.â?

St. John Bosco was born in Italy. As a priest, he was known as a great teacher to the youth. He founded several schools under the premise of studying and also learning a trade to earn a living.
