Pope to Argentinian bishops: A Church that does not go out of itself, will sicken, sooner or later

In the letter, he also tells bishops he prefers, “a thousand times over a Church of accidents than a sick Church,” in reference to the problems that outreach can cause, as opposed to its inactivity.

The Pope also toyed with the idea of not being able to join his colleagues because of “recent commitments,” speaking of his role as Pope.

Another suggestion highlighted in the letter, is his call to Argentinian bishops to use the Aparecida document as a guide for their pastoral missions.
