Murcia government sets up in-depth virtual tour of historic cathedral

An interactive guide called  http://catedral.regmurcia.com  explains in detail, the exterior's design, identifying each one of the 23 saints depicted, as well as the Virgin Mary and Christ. The high resolution images allow you to zoom as close as possible to analyze even the smallest detail. "Ante usted, la fachada....â? The virtual tour also takes you inside the building with Spanish audio to guide you on the history and background information on the building. Inside, users will discover the Gothic designs of the historic cathedral. The tour across several key points give users complete control on what they want to see, also allowing them complete 360 degree views, plus the option to zoom in or out. Among the tour's highlights is the intricately designed altar, as well as choir room. Just above the choir room is the cathedral's organ, which also offers a birds eye view of interior. Once finished with the building's tour inside, users can also explore some of the exterior designs from other angles. It include the Door of the Apostles, on the right side of the cathedral, with statues of Apostles Peter, Paul, Andrew and James. The Door of the Cross also takes users out on the side of the famous 300-feet tall bell tower, which houses 25 bells, the oldest of which is nearly 400 years old. Though the audio guide is only in Spanish, the views inside make the tour well worth the time. The full tour in itself takes about 45 minutes, but gives users full control to go as quick, or as slow as possible, to fully appreciate every detail on the majestic Cathedral of Murcia.
