WYD Rio: A comic reviews the history of World Youth Days

This is the beginning of 'WYD is in Rio', a comic book reviewing the history of international youth meetings with the Popes. It travels back in time to 1984, when John Paul II summoned youths in St. Peter's Square and delivered a special 'Youth Cross' to them. Since then, every two or three years, cities in various continents have hosted WYD. The young narrator explains that this great event is so much more than just a chance of meeting the Pope. Through the cartoons, he explains how Christianity began, when Jesus met the Apostles and asked them to follow Him. The publication is available in 6 languages, including Spanish, English and Portuguese. It is the second time World Youth Day inspires a comic book. The previous edition for Madrid 2011 was included in the 'pilgrim kit', and told the story of Benedict XVI's election. OFL @odelafu / BB JMJ Río de Janeiro -VM -PR up:SCar
