Cardinal Ersilio Tonini passes away at 99

Italian Cardinal ;Ersilio Tonini has passed away at the age of 99, in the northern city ;of Ravenna. ;Born in 1914, he was the oldest member of the College of ;Cardinals. ;

In Italy he was known for being an on air personality, and host of a show 'The Ten Commandments.'

He was made a cardinal by John Paul II in1994, at the age of 80. Because of his age, he was never eligible to vote in a conclave.

With the death of Cardinal Tonini, the College of Cardinals stands at 202, 112 of whom are cardinal electors.
