Pope Francis sends message to Cristina Kirchner

Pope Francis sent a telegram to Argentinian President, Cristina Fernández de Kirchner. In it, he assures her, he's praying for her quick recovery.

The 60 year old president underwent surgery on Tuesday to remove a blood clot between her brain and skull

In his message, the Pope says he "ensures his presence through prayerâ? and that he asks "the Virgin Mary, Our Lady of Luján, to bestow strengthâ? upon her.

Pope Francis also stated that her family and doctors are also in his prayers so that "the Lord casts His light upon their decisions.

He finishes his message by saying that he hopes that she can soon "return to her daily responsibilities.
