Argentinian boxer gives Pope Francis his world champion belt

The middleweight world champion Sergio Martí­nez, also known as "Maravilla Martí­nezâ?gave up the boxing ring for a day and traded it for St. Peter Square.  

The Argentinian boxer went to the weekly General Audience with Pope Francis and gave him a replica of the WBC champion belt he won on September 2012. 

The 38 year old boxer asked the Pope for "his blessing and spiritual protection on behalf of those that go into the ring.â? 

He also spoke with the Pope about his campaigns against domestic violence and bullying.
