Pope Francis will greet children hospitalized at the Vatican's Bambino Gesù

Pope Francis will once again follow in the footsteps of his predecessor, Benedict XVI, when he visit the Vatican-run Bambino Gesù Pediatric Hospital.

The visit will take place Saturday at four in the afternoon. The hospital is located just minutes from the Vatican itself.

In early December, Msgr. Pietro Parolin announced the Pope would be visiting the hospital, during a benefit concert at Paul VI Hall with tenor Andrea Bocelli.

Benedict XVI also visited Bambino Gesù a few months after his election in 2005. He greeted the hospital staff, as well as some of the children, before heading back to the Vatican.
