Prime Minister of Slovenia gifts Pope Francis a jersey

"Your Holiness, it is my pleasure.

And that's how the meeting between Pope Francis and the president of Slovenia, Miro Cerar, began.

During their meeting, they discussed what role the Church has played in national reconciliation and the diffusion of human and religious values. Modern Slovenia became independent from Yugoslavia in 1991 after the "Ten-Day War.

The president then introduced the Pope to his delegation and gave him a sports jersey for his growing collection.

In return, the Pope gifted him a copy of "Evangelii Gaudium and a medallion of St. Martin, which is one of his favorite gifts for world leaders.
