Pope meets with Airport Chaplains in the Vatican

They are priests who carry out their ministry in airports across the world, tending to people who come and go. Pope Francis welcomed participants of the International Seminar of Catholic Civil Aviation Chaplains, to the Vatican's Clementine Hall.

"Airport ministries begin with offering a testimony to help people and to open their hearts and lives to Christ.â?

The Pope also highlighted that airports are often filled with refugees. He called on the chaplains to remember that these people are often detained for short or long periods of time, often times without assistance or spiritual direction.
