Pope Francis greets family members of prisoners from a Bolivian prison


The Pope greeted family members of prisoners from the Palmasola prison in Bolivia. He blessed them, shook hands and even kissed some of the children.

The Palmasola prison is the largest in the country. The prisoners live with their families and the children grow up around the harsh reality of prison.
