Autopsy: Wesolowski died of natural causes

December 18, 2015. The Vatican announced today that the death of Msgr. Jozef Wesolowski, a former Holy See diplomat who was accused of sexually abusing minors, "was ascribable to natural causes (acute myocardial infarction), excluding other exogenous causes.â? 

The press release noted that the conclusion was drawn from an autopsy "conducted in strict accordance with the guidelines and protocols recognized at international level.� Wesolowski died on August 27th, shortly before his trial was set to begin.
