Pope Francis once again made a Mercy Friday visit in Rome. This time, he went to a rehab center for children and adults with neurological disorders and injuries, Santa Lucia Foundation.

The pope greeted the General Manager, Dr. Edoardo Alesse and the President of the Foundation, Dr. Maria Adriana Amadio, among others.

One of the most moving moments was when he interacted with patients at the Children's Rehabilitation Department, who received him with great applause.

Some of the children were quite brave to even embrace the pope.

“Yes, go to greet him.”

“Come, come, come.”

“Go, my love, go. Run.

Pope Francis took time to greet each patient, one-by-one. As their parents and caretakers stood-by, the Vatican said the pope “exchanged comforting words” with them. Then, he blessed them all before concluding his visit.
